In a distorted clash between the ultra controlled pop-production, over-manipulated instruments and Laura Teglbjærgs both intimate and intense vocal, Velvy creates their own pop universe. Storytellings about adventurous creatures mixed with unruly and confused outbursts of emotion blurs the border between cute- and weirdness.
The playfull creative process affects both the sonically and emotionally diverse songs, which draws lines to electronica, rock and improvised music with a fundament in modern pop aesthetics.
Velvy released their debut-EP “The Room We Lived In” in November 2024.
